We’ll stroll through the narrow, colorful streets filled with street art, colonial influences, and local culture, visiting cafes, art galleries, and souvenir shops.
We’ll explore the influence of immigrants in Valparaíso as we walk through Paseo Yugoslavo and Pasaje Bavestrello, which showcase Italian heritage. We’ll also invite you to taste a delicious alfajor made by local producers.
We’ll visit iconic places such as the colorful staircases featuring the song “Latinoamérica” by Calle 13 and Pasaje Gálvez, known for its street art depicting city stories.
We’ll continue to Paseo Atkinson to enjoy the charm of Valparaíso’s British heritage, with beautiful houses, gardens, and Deutsche Schule, which highlights the city’s German heritage. Tour highlights include Restaurante Brighton, Pasaje Pastor Theodor Schmidt, the Lutheran Church, and Hotel Manoir Atkinson.
Don’t miss the Piano Staircase, one of the city’s famous attractions, and St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral, one of the first buildings on the hills to unite the community.
We’ll conclude our Valparaíso tour with stunning views of the hills from Paseo Dimalow.
After Valparaíso, we’ll head to Viña del Mar, known for hosting the annual International Music Festival at Quinta Vergara. Enjoy a relaxing walk along the coast and beach, with opportunities for lunch and ocean views. We’ll visit iconic landmarks like the Flower Clock, Wulff Castle, Rioja Palace, Municipal Casino, Carrasco Palace, and Quinta Vergara Park, home of the Viña del Mar Music Festival. Explore beautiful house-museums, castles, and other points of interest. Don’t forget to follow the tradition of dipping your feet in the Pacific Ocean if you wish.
After a day exploring Chile’s coastal highlights, we’ll return to the initial meeting point.
